Legoland California is located in Carlsbad, California,
about 60 miles south of Disneyland and 90 miles south of Los Angeles
International Airport. Designers built Legoland with children in mind,
and is best described as a children's theme park. The target audience is
3- to 12-year-olds. Children should be at least 36" tall enjoy most
of Legoland's attractions.

Hours of
Operation
Legoland is open daily, all year long. Rides close 15 to 30 minutes
before the park closes, so if you want to catch one last ride, plan to
be in line before then. These dates are all 2001; 2002 hours have yet to
be released.

HOT TIP! Guests usually arrive en masse
about an hour after the park opens, so plan to arrive about 10 to 15
minutes before opening. This gives you time to purchase your admission
and have your children measured for their wristbands. Once inside, you
will find most rides have no lines, including the Sky Cycle, which by
mid-day frequently has a 60-minute line!

Weather
Located on the coast, Carlsbad enjoys a mild beach climate. Be
prepared for cool ocean breezes and even occasional fog. Bring a
sweatshirt or jacket in case the weather turns cool, even in the summer.
Visitors to Legoland should guard against the bright coastal sun. Even
when the skies are overcast, you are still exposed to ultra-violet rays;
do not forget your sunscreen!
