A little bird filled me in on the latest information about the Nightmare
Before Christmas - Haunted Mansion Holiday event in October. Everything
I see and hear about this event simply gets me that much more excited.
This should be a very special evening.
The $2000 Haunted Mansion dinners have had to be postponed to a later
date. Do not fear - they are coming! The new dates have not been set yet,
but we will let you know as soon as we can.
The official announcements for the Enchanted Evening go out in the mail
sometime next week. The split event, offering two different package options,
is still on for October 3rd. The first option runs $85 a person ($65 for
Annual Passholders and Cast Members) and includes a trip through the newly
rethemed mansion, a gift, and the panel discussion. At this time, both
Tim Burton and Danny Elfman are confirmed participants in this very special
panel.

The second option includes all of the above and a few extras, including
a haunting dinner experience. There is more that we will let you know
about once the official announcements hit the post office. This option
costs $200 a person and is limited to approximately 200 ghouls, er, um
guests. There are no discounts offered on the second package.
I am told that the event merchandise that will be offered is simply incredible.
The merchandise will be sold in the same fashion as the Diva's Event last
year. Your confirmation packet will include a list of all merchandise.
Return those order forms quickly as Disneyland will fill your requests
in the order they receive the forms. There will also be hotel packages
available at the three resort hotels.
The Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction is scheduled to open to the public
on October 5th. Keep checking this column for the latest information about
this event - it's sure to be a... scream!
