The Holidays Come to Disneyland! A week-long seriesThe Holidays Come to Disneyland! A week-long series My Journey so far: Disneyland has finally received it's long-awaited Holiday merchandise collection. After an Photo Safari last week to see all of the goodies, and the related Very Expensive shopping trip, I have returned to bring you the scoop. I'll be breaking the collection into bite sized pieces, so check back here each day this week to see it all. If you can't wait that long, much (but now all!) of the collection is already on MouseShoppe. As I mentioned yesterday - it's going to be an expensive year! Yesterday, I showed you the BIG pieces. The really neat items that can decorate a room all by themselves. The response to the Lit Character Houses was tremendous, and they are totally sold out. If you'd like to be notified when I receive more, please send me an e-mail to the address at the bottom of the screen. Today, we're going in the opposite direction and looking at the Small Pieces. These are the tiny little touches that bring the holidays to every corner of the house. The most popular items within this category have to be the Miniature Ornament Series. The four ornaments within these boxed sets are very detailed resin sculptures, and are trimmed with painted and glittered accents. There are 8 different collection within this series. (And remember, you can click on any photo or name to go right to that item at MouseShoppe) The two Princess Sets have been the most popular, and sold out at the park within days. Each has three different Princesses: one set has Alice as the fourth ornament, while the other set has Tinker Bell. While they may not exactly be princesses, they are certainly Disney Chicks! If you can't get enough Tink, the next set offers Two Tinks and Two Castles. There's also a set featuring Mickey and Minnie. (Or, as one of my Favorite CMs says: The Big Boss and his Main Squeeze) If you're a big fan of the Disney Animals, you'll like these sets. The Disney's Cat set features four of our favorite felines; Lucifer, Figaro, Marie and the Cheshire Cat. (Who is holding a sprig of mistletoe over his head... go figure!) The Dog Set has Pluto, Lady (carrying Jock in a stocking), Tramp and a Dalmatian. Finally, the Pooh Lovers can rejoice with two different sets. Tigger and Eeyore are the subjects of one set, while Pooh and Piglet are in the other. Whew! This whole collection is sized to fit perfectly on a miniature Christmas Tree, or you can use them to decorate wreaths and garlands. The other collection of minis are the Miniature Hanging Snow Globe Ornaments. There are seven of these, some of which coordinate with others. Mickey and Goofy are handing out presents by the bag load. Tigger, Tink and a Dalmatian [below] have really detailed bases. The "synergy" ornaments below highlight Disney's less traditional TV and Movie characters... The Bear in the Big Blue House and Jack Skellington get their own ornaments. What a great treat for Nightmare fans, though! Keep checking back all week as we explore more of the collection, and be sure to stop by MouseShoppe to order your favorites.
