|Oo la la! A look at Disney in France|
This is the wild west come to life, with visitors just imagining themselves ready to meet an old west cowboy or Daniel Boone himself. In terms of attractions, Frontierland is not as well equipped as some of the other lands, and as a result the land is often seen as a place to pass through on the way to somewhere else
That's a real shame, because standing just inside the gates of Frontierland, you really get the feel of an movie, just like you are back in the old frontier. This is especially true in western obsessed France.
For the current Halloween season the area has been rennovated to be 'Halloween Land' complete with spider webs, pumpkins and the like.
Some expect more of a early America theme to Frontierland, as was shown by Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone, but the mood is more that of the old west. This is the image that many Europeans have, as exemplified by Clint Eastwood.
The peak featured in Frontierland is Big Thunder Mountain, a roller
coaster ride through an old west mining town. While not as adventurous as some of the
other coasters, this one sports a great amount of detail. Also in Frontierland is the
Rivers of Far West, with two boats plying the waters, providing a view of the park.
