Konnichiwa! A look at Disney in Japan
Special: A look inside the new Tokyo DisneySea park!
THIS SECTION: ONE | TWO | THREE | FOUR

The Casbah Food Court is also located in the Arabian Coast - see a familiar design in the fountain next to the entry?

The Disney characters, such as Jasmine here, are not forgotten at DisneySea. They had to be shoehorned into the California park. Sigh.

The centerpiece of the area is a double decker carousel - housed under a blue tiled dome.

Let's first take a look at the California Adventure King Triton Carousel (with its cheap canvas roof no less), so you can see where Disney really cut the budget in our new park (I've tried to match the shots in similar lighting conditions):

And then let's look at what happens when real Disney quality come first...

Sort of like the difference between Kmart and Nordstroms, isn't it?  ;) Below you can see just how substantially detailed the carousel building and area surrounding it is...

From the tile work in the dome above, to the marble like facade on the building, even the design touches in the windows and such, (all detailed again below) this is a complete and quality job here.

Looks like our pooch sort of, well, you know...

...sigh.

Let's look again at the hotel map...

Now it looks like we'll continue our tour with the Lost River Delta area.

Be with us then as the Adventure continues!
