This is one of the hotel hallways - again note the richness in detailing is carried out even here. Look closely at the cornice work and the marble detailing. This clearly is a first class resort hotel.

Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta Opening Date Announced

URAYASU-SHI, CHIBA -- Today, Maihama Resort Hotels Co., Ltd. announced that Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta, the first hotel built inside a Disney Park in Japan, will officially open on September 4, 2001. The opening of the newest Disney hotel in Japan will coincide with the opening of Tokyo DisneySea Park, the newest Disney Park in Japan.

For the first time in Japan, guests will be able to spend the night inside a Disney Park. Standing dramatically inside Mediterranean Harbor at Tokyo DisneySea Park, the first Disney Park in the world themed to myths and legends of the sea, Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta captures the ambience of old-world Italy and offers luxury accommodations and amenities.

The hotel's name, "MiraCosta,'' is Italian for "view of the coast.'' In keeping with its name, guests will enjoy impressive views of Mediterranean Harbor and Tokyo Bay from many of the 502 rooms inside Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta. Elegant Italian theming combined with Disney- quality service are expected to create an unrivaled guest experience that will set Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta apart from all other hotels in the world.

Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta will begin accepting room and banquet event reservations at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2001. Reservations for Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings will be accepted from 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2001. Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta is a deluxe hotel built inside Tokyo DisneySea Park. The hotel's name, "MiraCosta'' is Italian for "a view of the coast.'' The hotel's elegant European design reflects the romance of an Italian villa, blending architectural styles of several Italian regions including Venice, Tuscany, Florence and Portofino. Motifs based on popular Disney characters are used throughout the hotel's interior and exterior.
