Part Twelve: Cape Cod
As we zoom into the previous shot in the
next two photos, you can see the lighthouse is apparently a small scale
item - which reminds me in a way of the charming little lighthouse
outside of the Storybookland Canal Boats attraction in Disneyland's
Fantasyland. A friend who saw the shot also commented on how accurate
the rockwork is for that area of the east coast.

Another view of the Village Store shows the
remarkable detailing in the fencing and lightposts for the area. The
trees behind it do a good job of disguising the adjacent Port Discovery
area.

Another view of the Cape Cod area, this time
from the walkway...

The close ups below show the weathering of
the fencing...

...and how the theming wraps around
everywhere on the buildings. There is no surface left untouched as far
as detail.

A photo taken from behind Cape Cod (on the
Electric Railway) shows you what the view is out from the area - that's
the real Tokyo Bay. You can see how carefully designed the park is, to
allow such a perfect view for this area.

Ok, so in most of these shots we keep seeing
a volcano (named Mount Prometheus). Heck, it even belches steam from the
top. Well, it seems it is more than just a volcano... looking back at
the map we first saw in the hotel - this volcano looks like it is an
island. And what's going on in that mysterious harbor inside?

Next we finally visit what has to be (at
least for me) the most exciting part of this new park. Join us as the
adventure continues on Mysterious Island.
