The Mediterranean Harbor, continued
Of course, Italy is probably most associated
in people's minds with Venice's canals. DisneySea has a canal area also.
You can see where it is located to the previous photos by orienting
yourself again with the tower at the top of the shot.

Now be honest here, wouldn't you pay a
premium price to look out over a lovely harbor and picturesque canal
like the ones shown above - instead of looking at a carnival full of off
the shelf rides like at California Adventure? Below is a look into the
above photo showing the incredible detailing of the hotel above the
canal area.
As I understand it, the view from these
rooms is out towards Tokyo Bay - they planned this carefully as you can
imagine.

The detailing continues across the harbor -
on this bridge reproduction below - typical of some spans in Italy where
buildings were erected on them.

Again, below a section from the above shot
showing how lavish the detail here is. Look at the brickwork on the
bridge arches - each stone is aged / distressed individually.

Ok, enough you say! I've now seen the hotel
and part of the harbor area - but just what is the view looking in the
other direction? Standing at the entry area, this is what you see
looking out from the hotel:

Zooming into the photo above, could that be
a fortress, and ...a volcano?

Remember the map we showed you from the
hotel? Looking at it up close below, we see what is across the way...

Keep in mind what the press release said
about the Mediterranean Harbor area: There
is also an interactive discovery area celebrating the Golden Age of
Exploration.
Next we'll head across the harbor for a
closer look at Explorer's Landing, and we'll
take you inside the golden domed Fortress Explorations itself!
The adventure continues!
