Born to Norwegian immigrant parents in Brooklyn, New York, Edle moved to California with her family in 1940. She attended North Hollywood High and began working for Disney Studios shortly thereafter. Once she had established herself as a script supervisor in the motion picture industry she worked tirelessly in her craft while devoting herself to her family throughout the years. The written word was part of her professional tool bag from the start, first as a stenographer then as script girl and eventually as a literary collaborator in episodic television. More recently she has tried her hand at script-writing as well as short story and novel composition. She continues to dedicate herself to her family while dividing her time between the southern California beachfront and desert communities of Ventura and Palm Springs.
