Enchanted Tiki Room
Enchanted Tiki Room, along with Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, is one of the most uniquely "Disney" attractions in the park. This 17-minute "live" musical show opened in 1963 as the first Disneyland attraction to make significant use of audio-animatronics and has been a fan favorite ever since. The show is emceed by four parrots (Jose, Fritz, Pierre, and Michael) and consists of a series of musical numbers performed by audio-animatronic birds, flowers, and Polynesian tikis. Also of note is the attraction's courtyard area where several Polynesian gods are represented in statue form. Just prior to the opening of the building for the next show, these statues come to life and explain their role in the Polynesian beliefs. Of course, for many people a visit to Enchanted Tiki Room isn't complete without a Dole Whip or pineapple spear from the Tiki Juice Bar.
